Perimeter Completes Enrollment for AI-Assisted Breast Imaging Trial

Perimeter Medical Imaging AI has completed enrollment for its pivotal trial testing the Perimeter B-Series OCT system, designed to assist in breast-conserving surgeries. The AI-powered device helps identify cancerous tissue margins, reducing the chances of leaving behind residual tumors. The trial enrolled approximately 530 women across ten U.S. sites, focusing on reducing reoperation rates in breast cancer patients.

The study’s data, expected by the end of the year, will support FDA clearance for the device. Secondary outcomes include false positive rates and patient satisfaction, evaluated through the BREAST-Q scale.
