GE Healthcare has teamed up with Radnet to integrate Radnet's AI-powered Smartmammo workflow with GE’s Senographe Pristina mammography system. This collaboration aims to streamline breast cancer screenings by enhancing imaging capabilities and workflow efficiency, from case prioritization to medical record management. The AI integration simplifies deployment, requiring only a power source and internet connection, which opens opportunities for mammography in non-traditional locations like malls and Walmarts.

Radnet CEO Howard Berger highlighted the partnership's potential to expand screening accessibility and improve patient outcomes. The system enables rapid interpretation and delivery of results, ensuring patients leave with answers. GE plans to roll out the upgraded systems in early 2025, pending FDA approval for advanced imaging enhancements.
